Cause and Effect of The Hunger Games

            Why is archery popular today in the U.S? The Statesman Journal reports, “‘Hunger Games Fever Makes Archery Cool for Children”, because there are two reasons. The first reason is that the movie is very popular in the U.S. and many people watched the movie. Most actors are younger. So children find archery resonating with The Hunger Games. The Statesman Journal said, “all of a sudden sales of bows have, like, tripled”. The parent and child can buy archery materials easily as a result of the movie’s popularity is popular. And If The Hunger Games hadn’t been popular, younger wouldn’t want to learn archery. The second reason is that main character is the heroine. Katniss is a girl who is young and strong and can use a bow and arrow very well. Therefore many girls want to start learning archery and become like Katniss. And Katniss is very cool when she uses a bow and arrow. So they want to use them and be cool like Katniss. Katniss is a model for girls. In conclusion, The Hunger Games has a big impact on girls. It makes archery more popular, and girls can spend a lot of time with her father and be more athletic. For these reasons, The Hunger Games effects archery, so archery is popular.

The Hunger Games Tour

The Hunger Games Tour

            North Carolina is preparing for Hunger Games fans. The tourism industry made some experiences how to survive like The Hunger games. This tour name is “Hunger Games Fun Tour Adventure Weekend”. The starting day is from Friday evening. The people can be tributes. First, on Saturday, the people will discover clues how to go to a filming location in the forest and can go to the place where the movie was filmed. Also people can learn survival skills; for example, archery, sling shot training, fire building, orienteering, shelter building, and camo-face painting. The people will be in the tree tops at night like Katniss and Rue. Second, on Sunday, they’ll gather for the Hunger Games Simulation. In addition the tour has an age limit. This tour is best suited for adults, families and children of 10 years and over. It costs $389 per person. This tour is limited to 28 guests per tour. The period of this tour is from April 27 to 29, June 8 to 10, June 22 to 24, July 27 to 29, August 24 to 26, and September 21 to 23. In conclusion the fan can became the character like Katniss at “The Hunger Games Fun Tour Adventure Weekend”. And North Carolina is ready for Hunger Games fans.

The Hunger Games Movie!

The Hunger Games movie

            When I watched the movie, I felt interested and disappointed. I have three reasons. First, I think the movie cut many scenes. For example, Katniss found water very easily and there was less romance than the book. I felt disappointed. Second, I think almost all the characters are similar in both of the book and the movie. But Haymitch was very good person in the movie because he taught a lot of advice to Katniss and Peeta and changed from a bad person to a good person. It was interesting. I think Haymitch’s actor is handsome. Finally, I think the movie has a little fighting scene. I wanted to watch fighting scenes more.  And I was impressive so I cried twice. The first time, I cried was when Katniss met her mother and Prim, and Katniss left the District 12. The second time was when Rue died. I felt so sad. In conclusion I think the movie is very interesting because I could understand each scene and actors are very good. If The Hunger Games makes a 2^nd movie, I’d like to watch the movie.

Spring Break!

Spring Break

                I had a nice time in spring break.  I usually stayed on campus. But I thought that I lived a full life. Because I could go to two places and do volunteer.   First place was Portland. I went to go there with my friends. I did shopping. I was happy that I could buy many clothes and shoes.  But I had shocking event. When I ordered lunch, I couldn’t tell to a clerk. So my pronunciation was bad. Then I thought that I endeavor to speak good pronunciation. Second place was WOOD BURN. It was an outlet mall. So a price is very cheap. And I bought many things. I felt very good. I think that I want to go there again. I could go to shopping in Portland and WOOD BURN. But I spent a lot of money. So I should be careful how to use money. Other day, I did volunteer to make an event hall that help homeless and clean up. It was a little hard. I carried chairs and desks. After event, I took down chairs and desks and cleaned up. When I finished volunteer, I had a feeling of achievement.  Volunteer is so good.  I think that I try to a lot of volunteer. And I played basketball and soccer and went to gym with my friends when I stayed on campus. Exercise was enjoyable. And I watched many movies in English by my friend’s PC. For example, ZIBURI,Diseny and TRANCEFORMER. I like watching movies. Finally I was enjoyable in Spring Break. And I could learn about pronunciation. I think that I have to make a plan when next break. I want to go to many places and do many activities. But I’m going to study English. So I’d like to be combine study and activity. I want to have better good time then Spring Break.

Pow Wow

Pow Wow

            The Pow Wow at WU was excellent. I was so excited because the costumes were beautiful, unique and colorful. I thought that costumes looks like a bird. The people wore different costumes and earrings. Their faces were painted. Hairstyle was a braid. And almost of costumes has feathers. This feather is an eagle. The costumes were decorated by beads and embroidery. And they attached bells to their feet so the people rang bells and danced while stepping peculiarity with a drum. In Sparks, I heard many sounds. For example, songs, drum, bells, footstep. Their sounds were powerful and heard far away. I couldn’t believe it was just human voices and drums. And the smell was strange. It’s like incense or an herb. I like this smell. It was sage grass. They burn it to purify the area before dancing. In conclusion, the Pow wow was very good. I could be a fan. And I thought that everyone from older to younger can be enjoyed. I thought that the Pow wow is passionate and traditional. It’s nice. If I have a chance, I would want to wear the costume.
